个人简介
汪铁军,中山大学遥感科学与技术学院教授、博士生导师,国家级海外高层次人才引进计划入选者,中山大学逸仙学者计划“杰出学者”。
长期从事遥感与人工智能在生物多样性监测与生态保护中的理论与方法研究,面向国家生态文明建设和生物多样性保护重大战略需求,聚焦物种分布建模、野生动物智能调查、森林结构精细制图及生态系统功能评估等方向。围绕多源、多尺度遥感数据与深度学习的融合应用,在复杂自然环境下生态要素的高精度识别、分布格局刻画及动态变化分析方面开展了系统性研究。
在物种分布建模研究中,重点探索遥感环境变量、栖息地结构特征、气候变化及人类干扰因子在预测物种空间分布中的作用机制,推动物种分布建模从经验相关分析向过程约束与尺度一致性的方向发展。相关成果应用于旗舰物种与受威胁物种的潜在分布预测、栖息地适宜性评估及保护优先区识别,为生物多样性保护规划和管理决策提供定量支撑。
同时,提出并发展了基于高分辨率卫星影像与深度学习的自动化野生动物调查技术体系,为提升我国生物多样性监测能力和自然保护地精细化管理水平提供技术支撑。相关方法在非洲稀树草原及大尺度自然保护地的野生动物数量估计与空间分布分析中得到成功应用。在森林结构与树种识别方面,推动多源遥感与三维深度学习方法在山地与城市生态系统中的应用,服务森林资源调查与生态系统评估。
主持和参与多项国际科研项目,与国内外科研机构和自然保护组织保持长期合作。在Nature、Science、Nature Communications、Nature Plants, Nature Ecology & Evolution、 PNAS Nexus、Remote Sensing of Environment、ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing等国际期刊发表学术论文150余篇。谷歌学术引用超过1万次,H指数58。
