The forum set up 22 sub-forums around three themes: "Geodesy and Surveying Engineering", "Cartography and Geographic Information Engineering" and "Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing". There were 46 invited presentations and 256 oral presentations by doctors. During the forum, the working meeting of the Discipline Review Group of Surveying and Mapping of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, the Academic Salon of National Surveying and Mapping Doctoral Students, the Academic Journal Development Forum and the recognition of excellent doctoral theses were also held.
In the morning of May 14, Prof. Xiao Cheng, the president of our institute, gave an academic report entitled "Remote Sensing of Ice and Vegetation Change in Arctic Region" in the invited report of "Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing" forum, and the participants responded enthusiastically to the report and had extensive and in-depth communication with Prof. Cheng on the spot.

The scale and level of this forum is at a record high, which has built a high starting point, large scope and multi-disciplinary academic exchange platform for doctoral students in the field of surveying and mapping science and technology, and has strongly promoted the collision of ideas between domestic postgraduates and the in-depth development of surveying and mapping disciplines.
Since its establishment four years ago, our institute has always adhered to the fundamental task of establishing moral education and continuously promoted the quality improvement of postgraduate training. This is also the first time for our doctoral students to win an award in the National Academic Forum for Doctoral Students (Surveying and Mapping Science and Technology), showing the achievements of our postgraduate training.
